>The Divine Broadcast- Prelude

>(Written on 26-27 December 2009)

Here I will serialise a new set of messages. I hope to turn them into the text for a photo book or a video podcast soon. I don’t want to keep them for myself though in the meantime, so here are the words!

(Inspired by what little I know of The Urantia Book and A Course in Miracles , along with the work of countless photographers and other artists, cataloguing the miracles of the Creation every last moment).

Prelude

1) Every day, small miracles occur,

2) Even if we are unaware of them.

3) Such wonders happen, whether we see them or not.

4) This is the true purpose of our universe.

5) The divine broadcast from our Creator.

6) Giving with an endless, tireless love.

7) The sun of all suns, the son of all sons.

8) Often hidden by vast levels of man-made illusions.

9) Illusions that are so attractive to us,

10) whether it be pain or pleasure that they bring.

11) Yet, we yearn for the truth of God’s words,

12) the nourishment of eternal verities.

11) So sooner or later, we all return to the divine broadcast.

12) A message of constant love and forgiveness, unyielding compassion.

13) The very source of our hope, faith and charity- all that is best in us.

14) That will inevitably rise to the surface, like an opening flower.

>On Salvation

>What is salvation? It means many things to many people, but here is what I have come to understand it as. It is the freedom from the clutches of sin, of a worldly world with it’s heaviness, sorrow and tragedy. The seemingly endless knotted rope of karma, of cause and effect, that makes so many lives, if not miserable, at least tinged with this misery. For sin is death and depression- hope, joy, love seemingly blotted out by it’s dark and deceptive clutches. Sin can seem pleasurable for someone caught up in it- for many, though, it is a source of obvious, not so hidden, suffering.

So by defining ‘sin’, we are better able to appreciate the mercy and lovings of God to grant us the path of salvation. Please note- the definition I use is not necessarily the same as that used by most Christians and this is not as such a ‘Christian’ site. Yet, still, I think we are talking about the same thing from different angles. Salvation is for those with faith, whether or not they are actually Christians. God reaches people in many ways and if at any point the Bible, Gita or Buddhist scriptures seem to suggest otherwise, the fault lies in the interpretation. God’s universal way is, in our dimension, ‘many ways’- ‘many ways’ that will be seen to be as one when we are able to see them clearly- all of which is not to suggest that all ways are valid. The one path of truth appears to us in many guises– for the path is of time and space, whilst the truth is eternal and infinite. There are no limits, other than those we impose on ourselves.

So what does it mean to be free of this thing called ‘sin’, this willful and corrupted state that permits itself to confuse evil with good and promote the former? What will happen when we are no longer dominated by it? Simply, we will see the end of our nebulous, distracting thought-stream that cries out with selfish impulses, destructive intentions and egotistical misunderstandings. We will be free, filled with love, having returned to the great cosmic family from which we came. For there are many more trillions of beings free from ‘sin’ than those controlled or shall we say, those who have their lives tainted by it. We will no longer worship at the feet of false idols, be they machines, people, doctrines or ideas. Instead, we will commune with God, restoring our rightful inheritance as His children. We will remember that we are of the family of God, playing for now the games of being humans, yet spiritually forever immersed in a greater, brighter, lovelier truth.

We will have clear understanding and vast insight. We will be restored to our true nature, again like trusting children, unstained and innocent, yet still wiser for our awareness of this world, a world which we will realise we are in, but not of. The key point in all of this is not so much what we will be- as it will be our true selves, each of us a shining individual as well as a conscious family member. It is what we will be free of- what we will be saved from. Just as the Israelites were saved from the pursuing Egyptians, or the early Christians from the curse of grinding religious laws that seemingly lead no-where, so will we receive these blessings in our own time. It also stands to reason that this will come, as ever, through no institution or worldly authority. It is the freely-given gift of God, available now as forever. For whilst we change, God- the divine reality in whose image we are made- is eternally dependable.

Amen

>Sayings from Above

>I- Added on 4/22/07

(Note- These sayings are ever-edited, to improve their clarity of transmission)

Nothing banishes fear like a warm smile.

The secret history of kindness lives forever.

When men discovered airplanes, they forgot how to fly.

Cherish the light within you most.

Lies flee when the truth appears.

Angels guard us in constancy.

Small though we are, we’re as important as the entire universe.

The greatest truth is the one we find ourselves.

If you let it, the sun will kiss you.

Live life as if today was you last.

Heaven falls to earth as a flower-petal.

God’s very being is His love.

Whenever we bless another, we bless ourselves as well.

Let God heal you, by making you feel at home.

II- Added on 5/20/07

The darkness we really fear is that within ourselves.

The only thing we really fear is our own dark imaginings.

Yet Angels of mercy guide us on the paths of light.

In faith is a life which resurrects those parts of us trapped by sin.

Sin hurts us- that outside of us can do no lasting harm.

Faith in God is the surest protection from sin of all.

Guardian angels watch us every step of the way- that invisible footprint following ours is of them.

God to Gods to Creator-Sons to Angels to Messiahs… for we are never alone.

Eternity stretches as far above us as within us… the endless spirals of life in life.

III- Added on 5/31/07

Mysteries of existence-

Why did God make the world with so much more beauty than we can possibly comprehend?

Why do so few people find the time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the world, when it is all around them?

With imagination, man can make a heaven of hell… or a hell of heaven.

>The Need for True Religion

>I am starting to realise the reason for religion coexisting with us since the beginning of time. Now, I am really talking about ‘good’ religion, spirituality, religion like Jesus had. On the one hand it gives us a sense of comfort to know that an eternal father is there, looking out for us. Immanent, yet eternal, he is always there when we need him, with needs he can anticipate. What better way to go through life?

Then, it also helps us understand the way things are. Cosmologies explain the nature of creation, the realities of the rebellion and it’s ultimate defeat by God in the appointed time. The vastness of the universe, something we can see in the beautiful nature around us, is also thereby depicted. It helps us to see the forest for the trees. Also, we can learn our grand, inspiring destiny; to ultimately dwell with God on high.

Thirdly, it guards against demons- spirits outside of us and also our own inner demons. It emphasizes all that is best, most generous, most kind in us and brings it to the surface. It emphatically rejects the deceits or curiosities of our weaker, undeveloped elements. If we ever wonder what is really right, dynamic religion, through our conscience, can tell us. This is an immensely important function, as without it there is a strong possibility of nihilism blurring our definition of good and evil a la Nietzsche. We need to have a sense that helping others and being kind is the central way of the universe. This is in accord with Holy Scriptures and hence in accord with God’s will.

God does have a will- the universe and the moral field is defined. Life is not just an existential experiment in which we find everything out by trial and error. By following God- our conscience, our inner messenger- we go the right way. That inner voice will never leave us and will always guide us back to the path of righteousness. God came as a human just to show us how possible that is- to help without being overbearing, to worship in a spirit of love and freedom- to have real values, even in a world where many falsehoods are mistakenly elevated and advertised as attractive. This is true values, authentic attractiveness; a wholesome food for the soul.

Some may not like the word religion, even with the defining word ‘true’ before it. But I am speaking more about a personal experience of God and God’s glory than any established, organized system of ritualistic blessings. In a more dynamic, responsive faith that is in touch with God on an individual level. Finding a God ever around us who we can simply become more aware of, more faithful in, more responsive too, as we see him more. God is a verb as well as a noun. In us he becomes flesh again.

This is the hole, the inspiration, the glory, that saves us from manifold mistakes. In this we find true love, the source of our hearts desiring. This restored faith can give us hope, can set us free from the web of falsehood that threatens us. It’s the true happiness that no billboard advertises.

Praise the Heavenly Father

Amen.

>A Prayer For Steadiness in Virtue

>In a world scarred by fear and indifference,
The joys of the moment seem passing follies.

We have to ask- where does the true reality
Begin and end?

Are our joys illusionary, or is that our sufferings?
Why oh why do bad things happen under the golden sun?

The answer, my friend, is undoubtedly simple:
Demonic influence- willing embraced by fools.

Nothing but good enters the world from God’s will,
To be twisted by the jealous, bitter will of Satan’s.

God’s power is omnipresent, yet asks for faith to act.
Satan’s dark will requires minions to follow.

If no-one, anywhere, would give aid to Satan,
His ability to act would be utterly curtailed.

Such is the way of a free-will universe,
Where we humans choose to worship God and find safety in Him.

II

All sin is consciously chosen,
However bizarre that might seen

Yet much evil is subconscious, habitual, ignorant.
Sin begets evil, makes it worse.

Virtue sets in habits of goodness, gentleness,
A passion for helping others.

Here is the key, for those who wish to be good-
Be virtuous, light and children of the clouds.

For then evil will stay far from you,
Along with the temptations to do such wickedness as it plots.

What bothers me the most is not suffering the ill will of others,
But myself falling into such worldly ways.

I know that angels and demons are all real, very real,
They influence the ways of men, even they see such spirits not.

We chose, yet we also follow the guidance of spirits,
Entrusted long ago with guarding this Earth from the mistakes of her children.

No spirit came here but by God’s will.
The evil ones rebelled, yet were somehow able to stay.

For a loving God finds it hard to summarily punish wrongdoers,
He wishes more for their repentance and thus grants them time.

III

Time, time; a breath in eternity.
So much can happen in this temporal realm.

How to think of, understand this great mystery?
I pray to you God, for this…

Keep me safe from the ways of the Babylon’s Whore
Keep my faith to you intact

Warn me before I slide to sinful temptations,
So I know better than to thwart your will.

Please forgive my many sins in though, word and deed,
Help me to be true to you.

Help our hearts, our thoughts to be pure and selfless
Help us always to do the greater good for all.

As it was, is now and ever shall be. Worlds without end,
Amen

>Nurturing

>How is it, to help a civilisation to evolve? Well, it is something like watching a flower grow. It gradually unfolds in ever-greater beauty. Seen quickly, this process is smooth and effortless; baring unforseen extremities of weather, it is inevitable. Civilisation and it’s development has a similar, smooth inevitability to it. Yet seen up close, and more slowly, it is the story of countless struggles, often in an unsure enviroment. Progress seems far from guaranteed- which is where faith comes in- faith that divine guidance and protection will render all the obsticals mere harmless distractions from the path to grand futures.

>The Spiritual Light

>

How to describe the Spiritual Light, the light I sense, that is seen by souls departing this world? I speak of the warm light of higher realities, of realer dimensions than the one we see now.

It is something like the warm light of the Pacific or the Mediterranean, seen under the shade of palm trees, but of a different type and degree. We feel it even more richly, it is relaxing and stimulating, all at once.

It is a light of intelligence, itself somehow conscious.

All human attempts at understanding, be they scientific or religious, are an attempt to move towards this light, are inspired by this light, are in some way of this light.

It is the one thing that can make us feel totally satiated, like no food, sex, or any sensual phenomena can. In it’s embrace, our hunger is no more.

It breaches the curtain separating ‘life’ and ‘death’, allowing us to bypass our conventional responses, beckoning us to a Greater Reality, of that inhabited by Angels, with whom we can fly there.

Just a pond is far from being the whole ocean, so our present state of consciousness is from the whole of our life.
